# fsVfxSetWorldPosition_EX1 The **fsVfxSetWorldPosition** function sets the latitude, longitude and altitude of the VFX instance. {{< callout context="caution" title="IMPORTANT!" icon="outline/alert-triangle" >}} This function can only be used for a VFX instances spawned in the world using [`fsVfxSpawnInWorld`](../fsvfxspawninworld]). {{< /callout >}} ##### Syntax ``` wasm bool fsVfxSetWorldPosition_EX1( FsVfxId id, FsVec3d newLla, eFsWorldReference ref = FsWorldReferenceEllispoid ); ``` ##### Members {{< table-wrapper >}} | Parameters | Description | |------------|-------------| | `id` | The ID of the VFX to set the position in the world of, as returned [`fsVfxSpawnInWorld`](../fsvfxspawninworld/). | | `newLla` | An array of three values representing the position in the world along the latitude, longitude and altitude axis. | | `ref` | The [world referential](../../core-and-helpers/#efsworldreference) in which the VFX will be placed, used to compute the height.The default value is : `eFsWorldReferenceEllipsoid` | {{< /table-wrapper >}} ##### Return Values The function will return TRUE if the given ID exists and is a valid VFX instance, otherwise it will return FALSE. ##### Example ``` wasm FsVec3d lla = { 36.151591, -5.340841, 58.154 }; fsVfxSetWorldPosition_EX1(vfxId, lla, FsWorldReferenceGeoid); ``` ##### Remarks N/A
