REPLY_TO_AVIONICS_ROUTE_REQUEST

Replies to a request from the EFB for instruments to send their current route. Instrument which are responsible for a flight plan route should call this when they receive a AvionicsRouteRequested event from the listener, if they wish to synchronize their flight plan to the EFB.

 

Only one instrument should respond to a route request, generally whichever cockpit instrument is responsible for holding the flight plan route. If multiple instruments could conceivably respond, they should be architected in such a way that it they can be configured by the developer to nominate only one instrument for responses.

 

Unexpected behavior can occur if more than one instrument responds to a request.

 

Example

In the following example, the variable route is a FlightPlanRoute created elsewhere, and the value 7 is the ID received in the AvionicsRouteRequested event.
