Welcome to the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Software Development Kit! This SDK is designed to allow the development of add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, whether you’re creating them using the simulators built-in tools, or making them from scratch using external tools.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 supports the development of add-ons that can be distributed to other users in the form of packages. A package is essentially a collection of files that make up the add-on content being shared, and this can be anything from a custom aircraft to a new airport, or even a combination of multiple different game assets!

By default the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 SDK will be installed on your root drive in the folder “MSFS 2024 SDK”. This folder will contain multiple sub-folders that in turn contain all the different elements of the SDK, eg:
