ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The pages listed below are supplied to help give context and extra information that may be relevant to the use of the Microsoft Flight Simulator SDK. The information contained here is not essential to using the SDK or the in-sim Developer Tools, but it can often help with understanding why things are done the way they are, or make it easier to grasp some of the core concepts behind creating add-ons for the sim, as well as explain some extra details about supplied support tools.
The pages below are specific to the additional tools supplied as part of the SDK in the Tools folder. These tools are not essential for creating add-on content for the simulation, but they offer many additional features that can make things easier or permit more advanced functionality:
- The 3DS Max Plugin - Plugin for 3DS Max that includes tools to help modelling objects for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
- Package Tool - Application for checking the contents of BGL files.
- Coherent GT Debugger - A tool which permits you to debug the HTML gauges within an aircraft.
